Fran is a Senior Vice President and Banks Consulting Team manager in the Financial Institutions Group at Wells Fargo Bank covering strategic bank clients.

Fran has 30 years of financial industry experience. Debt capital markets – trading, sales & client relationship management at investment banks UBS, Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital. While at UBS, Fran was managing director and head of structured notes distribution for the Americas, managing the sales team for private banks, wealth managers and broker-dealers. At Lehman Brothers, Fran was sales manager of a Macro structured notes group across rates, foreign exchange and commodities. Fran transitioned his team through the 2008 Lehman Brothers bankruptcy into the Barclays Capital structured solutions group. Prior to Lehman Brothers, Fran was U.S. Agency trading desk manager at Barclays Capital – managing team members and a multi-billion book of interest rate risk comprised of bonds, swaps, futures and derivatives.

Fran’s regulatory experience originated with the Dodd-Frank Act passage while advising Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. In 2015, Fran was strategy manager on Morgan Stanley’s resolution plan. Recent to joining Wells Fargo, Fran was senior regulatory product strategist at FactSet Research Systems – a financial technology firm providing multi-asset portfolio risk analytics. Fran is a published author and industry speaker on a range of regulatory topics.

Fran is a founding board member of CureGSD.org – a public non-profit 501c3 foundation, started in honor of his daughter who suffers from GSD1a, a rare life-threatening syndrome – committed to funding research for a cure of GSD. Advisor to Rare Life Solutions – private enterprise innovating rare disease solutions. Fresh Air Fund host family and volunteer for Paul Newman’s the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp Foundation.

Fran holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Fairfield University.

Fran is married with two children and lives in New Canaan, CT.
